He has got a very flexible and high tenor voice with ability to sing in a wide range. Robert Urban Nagy is familiar with different genres, suitable for all ages, easy going personality, sings anything from Opera, Operetta, Oratorio, Musical Theatre, or Pop Songs. He sings the hits of Pavarotti, Mario Lanza, Domingo, Bocelli, Carreras, Josh Groban, Caruso and so on. Robert Urban – Nagy has been singing for two decade in different genres. His exposure and experience has surpassed many others. He started his musical career with sacred music as a cantor sang many sacred songs. He sings opera roles, he is familiar in the genre operetta which is very popular in other European countries and through operettas he gained experiences in musical theatres as a prosaic actor as well.
Robert Urban-Nagy  opera singer, operetta and musical performer, actor. He is an established singer in the word of the musical theatre. He began to learn singing in Hungary as a cantor. When he finished his church music studies he has been continuing to learn opera singing at Béla Bartók Conservatoire of Music and Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.

His debut was as Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte  by Mozart in Debrecen where he was lead tenor for many years. He has also appiered  in Budapest at the Hungarian State Opera, at Madách Theatre, at National Theatre of Pécs, at Csiki Gergely Theatre, at National Theatre of Szeged, at Szigligeti Theatre, at Divadlo Thalia Theatre of Košice, at Turai Ida Theatre, at Petőfi Theatre, at Csiky Gergely Theatre, in National Opera Festival of Miskolc. He was lead tenor and bonvivant through 5 years at National Theatre of Miskolc and a member of the Hungarian Interoperett in Budapest trough 4 years. The New Year’s Interoperett performances was broadcast to a word-wide audience by  Duna Television through many years.

As a guest singer Robert worked in Sardinia, in Italy, in Corsican towns, in France, Austria, Poland, Slovakia and Croatia.  He sang in opera concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Czech Republic with accompany of the Symphonic Orchestra from Prague conducted by Hans Richter. He sung Tamino The Magic Flute wich was  performed in more than 15 cities in the Netherlands.

His many opera and operetta roles have included Ramiro Cinderella, Belmonte Elopement from the Seraglio, Basilio Marriage of Figaro, Paolino The Secret Marriage, Ismael Nabucco, Adorno Simon Boccanegra, Lensky Eugene Onegin, Hoffmann Tales of Hoffmann, Arturo Lucia di Lammermoor, Pong Turandot, Erik The Flying Dutchman
Eisenstein The Bat, Guido and Caramello A night in Venice, Camille de Rosillon The Merry Widow.

As tenor soloist his oratories and other concerts have also included B minor Messe by Bach, Te Deum by Bruckner, Requiem by Dvorak and by Mozart, Stabat Mater by Rossini.
Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven which was held in front of 150 000 people and broadcasted on several television.

Robert has been performing and living in the UK since 2012. He also appiered at events of Caerleon Arts Festival, as a tenor soloist in the Blaenavon Male Choir’s concerts and at Bristol Opera. He represents the operatic tasks in TENUTO International Singing Group and works as a freelance artist in European countries and all over the UK.
